Module 11

The reason I chose the videos DaDa and surrealism and the impact on cubism was because I remembered reading about these topics and I wanted to how much the video had to offer compared to the readings.


In the video DaDa and Surrealism I learned that Kurt Schwitters was forced to leave Germany by Nazi’s in 1933…..In the video The impact of cubism I learned that Marcel Duchamp’s Sad Young Man on a Train (1911), was said to be a self portrait and he was 24 when he created it.

I feel the video's relate to the readings by it being the same topic discussed but the videos were more in-depth compared readings because it went deeper into the topic and discussed other things related to the topic. I felt the videos were good and helped give me a better understanding on things discussed in the readings.
