In the video “Jackson Pollock: Michael Fried and T. J. Clark
in Conversation” Clark felt that Pollock had a desire to communicate subject
matter being shown in Pollock’s move towards complete abstraction. In the video
“Greenberg on Pollock: An Interview by T. J. Clark” Greenberg felt Pollock’s
approach in painting was practical and unpretentious while others saw it as
being “freakish”.
I defiantly feel these videos are related to the Art Criticism
project simply because they were both giving their opinion on the pieces of art
being displayed which can be considered constructive criticism which is being
done in the Art Criticism project.
I will say these videos were a little boring but they did
add depth to art criticism in more of a constructive way being displayed by
professionals.
